Pembrokeshire County Council cabinet member for economy, tourism and culture, Clr. Paul Miller, and Pembrokeshire County Council tourism and marketing officer, Claire Rees, proudly display the Countryfile magazine Destination of the Year 2018 award above Newgale.
The Pembrokeshire Coast scooped the prestigious award after beating rival finalists, the Isle of Wight, Forest of Bowland, Suffolk and Speyside recently.
“Receiving this award is a huge honour for us, made better given it was the votes of the magazine’s readers that counted,” said Clr. Miller.
“We know how special Pembrokeshire is and this award proves that visitors to the county feel that, too, and that is something we can all feel proud of.
“We’re grateful for their support.”
