The spectacular setting of The Belfrey in Birmingham was the venue for this year's prestigious Fine and Country conference and award ceremony. During the day, Dominic Subbiani, partner in Pembrokeshire estate agents FBM, was asked to be a guest speaker, sharing initiatives and marketing ideas as ways of increasing levels of business during these increasingly difficult market conditions. FBM were honoured to have been selected as the Best Regional Fine and County Agent in the whole of Wales and the West of England. At 276 branches, Fine and Country have a phenomenal four times the number of offices of their nearest competitor which manages to accrue a mere 73. "In terms of branch numbers, no other prestige network even comes close," said Fine and Country's national sales director, Mike Bidwell, "which means we can match up a vast number of buyers with precisely the property they are looking for." Dominic Subbiani commented: "The upper quartile of the market remains removed from the general slow down. Prestigious properties in great locations are still in great demand and selling fast. In fact, last month alone, we agreed sales in Pembrokeshire on our Fine and Country stock at over four and a half million pounds worth of property. That's not bad for a so-called stagnant market."
