In a recent presentation at the Narberth clubhouse, Geoff Morgan, treasurer of Narberth RFC Supporters' Club, presented the Narberth RFC treasurer, Peter Spacey, with a cheque for the handsome sum of £4,000. In expressing his gratitude to the Supporters' Club committee on behalf of the Rugby Club, Peter Spacey said: "I would like to thank the Supporters' Club for continuing to support the Rugby Club in this generous way. The donation has only been possible through the efforts of the Supporters' Club committee, the supporters, and members of Narberth RFC who have contributed via their support of the match day raffle, the December Draw and the Meat Draw. "The weekly organisation and running of the Meat Draw was via the personal efforts of the late Ken Morris who will be sadly missed for his personal commitment and work for the Supporters' Club and Narberth RFC. "Ken's granddaughter, Shelley Morris, has indicated she would like to carry on her late grandfather's work in running the Meat Draw in future and we are delighted that she has volunteered to maintain this valuable source of income to the Supporters' Club and the Rugby Club. "The monies received via the cheque come at a timely moment when the First XV fixtures are minimal, because of the RBS Six Nations Championship games and will assist the club in meeting the continuing financial challenges of maintaining the development of rugby at all levels at Narberth RFC. "The Narberth RFC Supporters' Club has given Narberth RFC £6,000 this season, which is a significant contribution to the funds of the Rugby Club. Diolch yn fawr."
