Visitors to Pembrokeshire next spring can expect a floral welcome thanks to teams who worked hard over the weekend. The busy volunteers were planting daffodils in banks and verges, a job done each autumn to create extra colour for spring.

On Saturday, a small team of enthusiastic planters got to work in Pembroke. Comprised of town councillors and representatives from the Tanyard Youth Project, the group were planting their bulbs as part of 'Make a Difference Day'.

New Hedges received similar treatment on Sunday. The initiative was organised by the New Hedges Community Association. Mary and Pat Watts of New Hedges Post Office helped supply the bulbs.

Blue skies and sunshine had encouraged a good number of young people to join in the daffodil planting outside St. Anne's Church and throughout the length of the village.
