Preparations are well underway at Dyffryn Taf School, Whitland, for their annual school production. Calamity Jane is the show planned for this year and performances will begin on December 11. The cast, choir and orchestra are currently in rehearsals, with everyone building up to putting on a great show! Behind the scenes, students and staff have been hard at work designing the sets for the show, creating all the publicity materials for the event and contacting local businesses to try and raise the sponsorship money that is vital to the success of the production. The school would like to thank those who have already returned their sponsorship forms and pledged their support to the production. They hope that the other companies contacted will consider offering sponsorship, as they would be unable to hold an event of this nature without the generosity of local businesses.   If your business would like to sponsor the production or donate a raffle prize, please contact the school for further details. The Monday afternoon show for local Senior Citizens is fully booked already! The school would like only senior citizens who have made group bookings to attend this performance. No others can be admitted as the hall is booked to its maximum capacity. The morning shows for local primary schools are also fully booked. However, tickets for the evening shows will be on sale shortly at the school.
