St. James' Fair committee held their first meeting last week to discuss ideas and arrangements for their seventeenth annual fair to be held on Monday, July 28 in the village of Jameston.
The fair last year was a great success and everyone is hoping this year it will be even better. So Mrs. Williams, the Chairman and lady who revived this ancient fair in 1987 will be making a few 'phone calls to book the entertainers for the day.
The committee do need to raise some funds, just in case of 'a rainy day', therefore a Cheese and Wine evening with musical entertainment is to be held at the Swan Lake Inn, Jameston on Thursday, March 20. Tickets will be on sale soon at £2.50 each. Everyone will be very welcome.
