Sir, Last Friday, I had the misfortune to injure my toe and was worried about the blood-loss incurred. Forgetting that Tenby Cottage Hospital no longer had a minor injuries unit, I was referred by them to the Glen Pharmacy who despite being part of the Triage and Teat system were too busy to deal with me. I was referred to Tenby Surgery, who were also too busy to see me, and so was referred to Withybush. Unable to get there and finding it unnecessary to go there with such a minor injury, I found out about the Strand Pharmacy in Saundersfoot, who, despite being busy, cared for me in a most generous and professional manner. Full praise to them. It is a pity that more pharmacists cannot be part of this system, especially in Tenby. On a good note, I have extreme difficulties in breathing and was referred by my doctor at Tenby Surgery to Tenby Cottage Hospital for an x-ray, for which I received an appointment within 24 hours, which proves that when the system works, it works brilliantly.
