A TENBY pub has made it into a paper's popular travel guide written by an author who has produced a series of books on the subject and was even born in an inn!
In the Guardian newspaper article, Keith Johnson, who was born in the Carew Inn and is the author of a four-volume history about pubs, has chosen the resort's Hope and Anchor in St. Julian Street as one of his favourites, stating that Pembrokeshire has some fantastic historic pubs packed with character.
Keith describes the pub as being as "popular with locals as it is with summer holidaymakers," with part of the reason for the popularity being "the great selection of cask ales" on offer.
