May I comment on your story about Pembrokeshire County Council withdrawing proposals to put a civic amenity site next to Brooklands Nursing Home.

I would like to pay tribute to the local people in their campaign, and Plaid Cymru Councillor Jon Preston for Penally and New Hedges for his part in their efforts. I'm sure the campaign will continue and go from strength to strength.

The local council has to be clear now where they are going to place this civic amenity site. Plaid Cymru has also called on the Welsh Government to reform the planning system so that it better respects the principles of sustainable development.
