Danielle Rowe (aged 11) from Pennar Community School has won the Pembrokeshire Primary schools competition to create a poster to promote the historic cricket fixture at Cresselly on Bank Holiday Monday, May 28, when Glamorgan Dragons play the Surrey Brown Caps. Her reward as the overall winner will be to act as official mascot to the Glamorgan team on the day. Shaniece Raimaan (10) from Monkton Priory was second and third place went to Lewys Gibby (10), of Monkton Priory. In fourth place was Phillip Townley (10), also Monkton Priory, and in fifth place was Jodie Cole (8), of St Oswalds VA School. Commenting to Observer Sport, Ben Field, cricket development officer to Pembrokeshire County Council, said: "The competition run by Sport Pembrokeshire received almost 250 entries and a great deal of thanks is offered to every pupil for the effort they put into their individual posters. "Congratulations to Danielle on winning the competition and her poster will now be distributed throughout Pembrokeshire to promote the biggest cricket match ever played in Pembrokeshire."
