Members of 2nd Milford Haven Sea Scouts are now able to safely enjoy more time on the water following sponsorship from the Port of Milford Haven.

The group applied to the Port’s Community Fund for help to purchase 25 buoyancy aids. With over 20 members and an expanding membership group, the new safety equipment will ensure that all members of the group can continue to enjoy activities such as canoeing, kayaking, rafting and sailing.

Natalie Waters-Booth, Scout Leader, said: “We are extremely thankful to the Port for enabling us to purchase the buoyancy aids. We can now take all of the Sea Scouts out to enjoy the waterway activities on offer.”

Anna Malloy, PR and communications manager for the Port of Milford Haven, commented: “We’re delighted to be able to support the 2nd Milford Haven Sea Scouts. The Community Fund is always keen to support groups that educate young people on water safety and encourage enjoyment of the Milford Haven Waterway. We’re looking forward to seeing the new equipment in action.”
