Sir,
Having collecting items of historical importance to the Tenby and Saundersfoot area for about 15 years or so, I now have a collection of bottles relating to Tenby's past ginger beer and mineral water industry.
A short while ago I decided to write an article for a national bottle collecting magazine called British Bottle Revue which covers all aspects of bottle collecting.
The article is to be centred around the history of George Thomas' Mineral Water Works, Tenby, from its conception in 1873 to its demise as Tosco in the 1960s.
What I would like to do, through your 'paper, is to ask if any of your readers could give me any scrap of information at all about the Pop Works as it was known locally.
I would also like if possible any newspaper articles, photographs, bill heads, labels and bottles to illustrate the article.
As all this information will be put onto the computer, if I receive enough information about the Pop Works I might be able to produce a small publication with a lot more information and pictures than the magazine article.
I can be contacted at the address below or on (01834) 812204 after 6 pm.
