The 2026 Senedd election offers the people of Wales a chance to ‘change our sense of self-belief as a nation’, according to Plaid Cymru leader, Rhun ap Iorwerth.

Speaking exactly six months before the May 7th election, Rhun ap Iorwerth has called for people to come with Plaid Cymru, and to turn ‘frustration into action’ by choosing a Plaid Cymru Government in 2026.

Plaid Cymru leader, Rhun ap Iorwerth, said: “Six months from today, Wales will have the chance to vote for change - a change of government, a change of leadership, and a change in our sense of self-belief as a nation.

“After twenty-six years of Labour, Wales has been left with record NHS waiting lists, struggling public services, and a government that has lost its sense of purpose. There’s a growing sense that Wales can, and should, be doing so much better.

“Labour has given up on Wales. Meanwhile, billionaire backed Reform UK doesn’t care about Wales - seeing us as nothing but a stepping stone to Downing Street.

“Plaid Cymru offers the positive change the people of Wales are ready for.

“That means a government on their side. One that will take real action on the cost-of-living crisis, support Welsh businesses, improve our NHS, and support families. One that serves the people of Wales - not the interests of Westminster parties.

“With six months to go, I’m asking people to come with us, to come with Plaid Cymru, to turn frustration into action, and choose a government that believes in Wales and will stand up for our nation.

“Over the next six months, I look forward to taking that message to every corner of our country, building the momentum for the positive change Wales deserves.”
