Work is close to completion on the £1.5 million outflow pipe into Saundersfoot Harbour and a £370,000 project in Tenby to upgrade the sewer system is due to commence in the new year. In the Spring of 2018, work is due to start on a massive £7 million project to create new sewers in Pembroke Dock.
Commenting Angela Burns AM said: “I am delighted to hear of Welsh Water’s multi-million pound investment into our local infrastructure here in South Pembrokeshire. Many of the systems are years old and are struggling to cope with increased demand and capacity.
“Although the effects may not be always visible, this amount of investment will have a positive impact on our dated sewer systems and shows that Welsh Water have been listening to local calls to undertake these upgrades.
“I look forward to seeing how the work progresses over the coming months.”
