Neil Hamilton, AM for Mid and West Wales, and leader of UKIP Wales, is urging his constituents to apply for funding of up to £20,000, to help with projects in their communities.

Mr. Hamilton is calling on local charities and community groups, to take the opportunity to apply for between £500 and £20,000 raised by players of People’s Postcode Lottery.

He said: “Applications for the latest funding rounds for the People’s Postcode Trust, Postcode Local Trust and Postcode Community Trust, open on February 14, and I would urge all local groups which might be eligible to make sure that they do not miss out.

“As Party Spokesman for the Environment, I am keen to encourage people to look after their communities and this particular fund supports many different schemes, including community gardens, play areas, wildlife and green energy projects.

“This is a wonderful opportunity for local people to get together and help make a difference to their communities, so it is well worth making an application by February 28.”

The People’s Postcode Trust seeks applications for projects that focus on the prevention of poverty, promotion of human rights and equal rights and supports grass-roots sports, arts, recreation and healthy living programmes.
