A vehicle came into contact with a pedestrian on a Narberth pavement shortly before 11 am on Wednesday morning.

The male pedestrian did not sustain any injuries and the driver of the vehicle spoke to him immediately after the incident, which occurred in lower St. James Street.

Police confirmed yesterday (Thursday), that they would not be taking any further action on this matter.

However, officers are aware of an ongoing issue relating to illegal parking in Narberth, and an officer issued tickets to some cars illegally parked on Wednesday.

They will continue to monitor the situation.

County Clr. Wynne Evans said after the visit to St. James Street: "Action on the parking situation and consideration by the county council in some form of re-design of the pavements in this area is certainly now needed and well overdue."
