Police in Tenby have been investigating a series of 11 crimes committed in the Pembroke and Tenby areas last Thursday and Friday.

These include aggravated vehicle taking, burglary, theft from unattended vehicles, criminal damage and vehicle interference.

In addition, a further eight crimes were committed in the Pembroke Dock, Tenby and Kilgetty areas. These included taking vehicles without consent and criminal damage.

Following information received and subsequent enquiries, two persons were arrested and following interview one 22-year-old male was charged with a total of 15 offences.

A second person, aged 17, has been charged with a total of 10 offences, some of which relate to incidents that occurred during the course of the weekend.

On Saturday, two vehicles were stolen and seven damaged at premises known as T Cars in Pembroke Dock.

As a result of prompt police action, a 15-year-old youth was arrested at the scene for these offences and others over the weekend. He was later charged with seven offences relating to various incidents of car crime and handling stolen property.

A fourth youth, aged 16, was also arrested and subsequently charged with seven offences, including various car crimes and burglary.

The total number of offences investigated over this period of 48 hours totalled 28. Of those offences, 23 have been detected and inquiries are continuing into the remaining offences.

Police later thanked members of the public for their vigilance in reporting suspicious activities in the area resulting in arrests.
