Following concerns about community policing, it has been agreed to hold regular police surgeries in Kilgetty once a month. The police surgeries will be held on the last Tuesday in each month starting on Tuesday, July 29, at 11.30 am in the Co-op car park. Commenting about the scheme, County Clr. David Pugh, said: "I am delighted that PCSO Dave Henry and PC Jackie Howells have been able to arrange for a mobile police unit to visit Kilgetty once a month. "They will be able to talk to local residents and listen to their concerns and problems and then hopefully be able to take action. "I, as county councillor, will also be in attendance and be able to follow-up any issues that concern Pembrokeshire County Council. "I trust that the residents will come forward and take advantage of this initiative and take the opportunity to speak directly to the police on any matter. "I am also very pleased that a traffic warden has been appointed to cover Narberth, Kilgetty and Saundersfoot, so that we can get some positive action about the illegal parking and road safety in the village. "Illegal parking and obstruction was the number one issue raised during the recent election campaign and having a traffic warden will hopefully impress on drivers the need to use the free car parks that are available." The police also hold a regular Community Forum at Bloomfield Centre, Narberth, on the first Tuesday of each month at 7 pm. All residents from Kilgetty, Begelly and Reynalton are welcome to attend and take part in the forum. For further information, contact either Clr. Pugh on 0845 4192920 or PCSO Dave Henry, Narberth Police Station, on 0845 330 2000.
