Police are seeking information following an incident in the Saundersfoot area in January when two men called at a premises allegedly in the business of selling carpets.
The two men, who were using a white Transit van, called at the premises between 7 and 8 pm on January 18, and took measurements of a room.
They then told the purchaser that the carpets would be delivered within the next few weeks.
The two men were left alone for a short time while they took the measurements and, the following morning, the householder noticed that a Casio Indiglo cross-train sports watch had been taken from the passage area of the house.
Police are anxious to hear from anyone with information on the incident or the possible identity of the suspects.
The first is described as white and approximately 40-years-old.
Five-foot 11 inches tall and of medium build, he had beard stubble and short dark hair which was shaven at the back with longer layers on the sides.
He was wearing blue jeans and a sovereign ring on one of his fingers.
The second man was also white, and around 20 years of age. Of slight build, he was roughly five-foot 10 inches tall, clean shaven with short dark hair.
He was wearing tracksuit trousers and a dark t-shirt.
