Senior police officers in Pembrokeshire are renewing the appeal to landowners in the county and residents to be vigilant in reporting suspicious activity that may be the start of an illegal rave type event taking place. A few days ago advice was issued to landowners to take steps to secure their land and this advice is now repeated. 1. Make sure you have up-to-date plans of the land you own or rent. 2. Do not invite would-be trespassers onto your land, even if urged to do so. 3. Make sure you have proper insurance cover to include legal costs arising from future court proceedings. 4. Fence off vulnerable areas using boulders, rubble and sand etc, but do not erect anything that may cause an injury. Inspector Clark, of Tenby Police Station, said: "The August Bank holiday weekend is the prime time for these type of events and residents and landowners need to be alert to the possibility that an event will take place somewhere in our county. It is probable that any event may be started from about Thursday or Friday onwards. "As long as we can detect the beginnings of a rave at an early stage we have at least a chance of stopping it, but when it is fully underway we resort to the option of policing it as it progresses. "Any suspicious activity should be reported to the police on 08453302000 or contact Crimestoppers."
