Pembrokeshire police division is celebrating the force's 40th anniversary by raising as much money as they can for the Paul Sartori Foundation.

The charity was chosen by staff who aim to raise money for it until April next year.

So far, a number of events have taken place, including a quiz night and a children's Hallowe'en party.

However, the big event is a charity auction and lots on offer include a signed Manchester United football, a mini car for a week, which has been donated by Green Bower, and signed photographs of celebrities.

Chief Superintendent Dean Richards said: "The Paul Sartori Foundation has helped a number of staff families over the years and now its time for us to help them."

Lorna Johns, of the Paul Sartori Foundation, said: "Paul Sartori Foundation is so pleased to have been nominated by Dyfed Powys Police and we appreciate the hard work and effort which is going into raising as much money as possible.

"In the auction we have something for everyone - the Heywood Hotel in Tenby have donated a luxury stay, we have passes to golf clubs, a handmade rocking horse and even a Mont Blanc pen.

"It's an ideal way to get your family and friends an unusual present for Christmas this year."

Sealed bids can be submitted for the auction which takes place on December 4, by sending them to Ceri Doyle, Haverfordwest Police Station, Merlin's Hill, Haverfordwest,.
