Dyfed Powys Police in partnership with Dyfed Powys Health Authority are working together to reduce incidents of crime and disorder within the Health Service.
Recently both parties met to 'sign up' to the 'Memorandum of Understanding'. This looks at ways to remove the opportunities for violence and other crimes against General Practitioners, other Health Service workers and patients.
Staff at medical centres have received training in conflict resolution and safety advice from trained police officers.
Chief Inspector Westalem, Community Safety Department, Dyfed Powys Police said: "We are all concerned about the increase of incidents of violence towards Health Service workers. Dyfed Powys Police is committed to the investigation of all crime and we look forward to working closely with Dyfed Powys Health Authority to address this issue."
