The wedding took place at Llangunnor Church, Carmarthen, on Saturday, July 22, of Mr. Paul Boorman and Miss Shelley Jayne Upton.

The groom, a police officer in Tenby, is the son of Stuart and Julie Boorman, of Pembroke, while the bride, a specials co-ordinator at the police headquarters in Carmarthen, is the daughter of Reginald and Sharon Upton, of 28 Ael-y-Bryn, Tanerdy, Carmarthen Dressed in a beautiful claret gown, the bride was given away by her father.

The bridesmaids, who wore ivory coloured dresses, were Cathy, Julianne and Lizanne (bride's friends), Charlotte (groom's sister) and Sian (bride's cousin). Flower girl was Lucy (groom's god-daughter) and page boy was Oliver (friend's son).

Best man was Simon Tingle (groom's cousin and best friend), while the ushers were Nicholas Upton (bride's brother), Tim Boorman (groom's brother) and Thomas, Ben and Sam (bride's cousins).

Officiating at the ceremony was Canon Aled Griffiths, while organist was Mair Thomas.

Afterwards, a reception was held at the Ivy Bush Hotel in Carmarthen.

The couple, who are spending their honeymoon in New York and Mexico, will be making their future home at Tanerdy, Carmarthen.
