We are now in the centenary year which marks the start of the Great War of 1914-18.

As part of our contribution to the memory of those police officers of the constituent forces that have formed Dyfed-Powys Police, the Chief Constable, Simon Prince, intends to collate those names from around the force area and display them on one memorial plaque at the force headquarters in Llangunnor, Carmarthen.

To this end, it would appear that these names are recorded on various memorials and plaques, in and around the Dyfed and Powys Police area.

If any of these memorials are known, or you know the names of any police officers who gave their lives during the Great War, or if you are a descendant of any of these officers, could you please contact me.
