Police are hunting thieves who have struck at three jewellery shops in South Pembrokeshire. Two premises in Tenby and one in Pembroke Dock have recently been targeted, while two men with Irish accents were seen acting suspiciously in a jewellers at Haulfryn, High Street, Narberth, last Thursday morning. In Tenby, police are hunting a man following a walk-in theft at Silver Forest in the town's High Street, on Sunday. At approximately 5.30 pm, the man walked into the shop and removed items of jewellery from the window display and calmly walked out again. The man is described as white, around 20 years of age and was of medium build and approximately five-foot eight inches tall. He had brown collar length hair and was wearing a dark blue jacket, blue jeans and dark shoes. The items stolen were an opal bracelet, a turquoise bracelet, two gold bracelets, a cubic zirconium bracelet and a turquoise ring. The proprietors of the establishment are offering a reward for any information in relation to the theft. Anyone with any information about the incident or possible re-sale of the items is asked to contact the town's police station on 842303. On the same day, a necklace, bracelet and gold cigar piercer went missing from Audrey Bull's Antiques in Upper Frog Street. Police are now studying CCTV footage to establish the time of the crime. Police in Pembroke Dock, meanwhile, who are investigating a theft from Lloyds Jewellers in the town's Dimond Street, believe it could be linked to the incidents in Narberth and Tenby. At 11.30 am on Monday, a male person entered the shop and asked the assistant if he could browse. After approximately a minute, he reached into the window display and selected several items of jewellery and made off from the shop. The items of jewellery include a gents 18-carat curb link bracelet, a ladies 14-carat ruby (pink/red stones) and diamond bracelet, a ladies blue 14-carat sapphire and diamond bracelet and a ladies 18-carat hollow bracelet. The offender is described as white, aged 20 to 25, medium build and approximately five-foot 10 inches tall, with dark hair. He was wearing a black jacket and trousers, and carrying a dark green/black rucksack. He also appeared to speak in a slight Irish accent.
