Police are investigating following a theft in Saundersfoot last week.

The incident occurred in Milford Terrace on Thursday, November 10, at approximately 6.35 pm.

A 7.5 tonne lorry, with blue curtain sides, pulled up in the street, placing its hazard warning lights on. Two males were seen to exit the vehicle and enter the yard at the rear of the Pound Shop. They helped themselves to a number of items which they did not have permission to take. These persons appeared to the public to be acting legitimately, but were not.

A pair of heavy duty five-tread painter or builder's steps, silver aluminium in colour, and shop stands were taken.

Said a police spokesman: "These persons are cold calling and approaching businesses regarding the collection of cardboard. If your business is approached or has been approached, please inform Tenby police."
