Police officers from Tenby and Saundersfoot answered 98 calls for assistance over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend. These incidents ranged from acts of violence to other less serious matters. "During the weekend, officers recorded details of several criminal offences, including criminal damage to shop windows, burglaries and assaults," Insp. Les Clark, of Tenby police station, told the Observer. "Arrests have been made and hopefully more will follow," the officer continued. During Saturday night, a bottle was thrown at a window on the South Parade causing it to crack. "The offender was caught on CCTV and he is likely to be arrested," said Insp. Clark. Meanwhile, during the early hours of Monday morning, a hit-and-run road accident occurred on Marsh Road, Tenby. "The driver and passenger alighted from the vehicle and ran off. Despite a search of the area, they were not traced. The vehicle was later reported as stolen and inquiries continue," added Insp. Clark. "The weekend concluded with arrests following a report of an affray at Saundersfoot during the early hours of Tuesday morning. Again, inquiries continue into this offence."
