TUESDAY, June 13, sees a poetry reading taking place on Caldey Island.

The 'Islands Poetry Reading' at St. David's Church wil be by Brother David Hodges, a monk who lives on the island, and James Knox Whittet, a well- known Scottish poet and editor of the recently published anthology '100 Island Poems', which has just completed an Arts Council funded national peotry tour of Great Britain.

Both he and Brother Hodges had poems in the anthology and were involved in the tour which went to six islands.

Brother Hodges's fourth poetry collection, 'Watching for the Wind', reflecting the monastic life of prayer in an island setting, has also recently been published, and they will be reading from both volumes and selling signed copies. The reading begins at 1.15 pm and admission is free.
