Sir,
The gateway to Tenby is a guard of honour of caravans, signs for tents and tourers and every so often a neatly tied plastic bundle of dog excrement dangling from the trees. So pleasing to the eye.
Entering within the town walls we have everything for the day tripper or holidaymaker, cafe, clubs, pubs, gift shops, £1 shops, betting shops, banks, charity shops, one bread shop, one fish stall, one butcher. I can see no adverse affect a supermarket on the outskirts of town would have.
My pocket dictates where I shop as it does for many local pensioners, young families and low wage earners.
H. Richards,
Knowling Mead,
Tenby.
