I must, once again, try to persuade Pembrokeshire County Council to think again about their proposal to re-site their waste disposal unit to the land adjacent to Brooklands Care Home. What has this site got that other more appropriate applications have not and have been turned down? Or is there a financial element in place here?

Despite all the assurances that there will be no disruption to the residents, has anyone from the council been there, as I have, when a truckload of glass has been dislodged - and that before the projects has even started.

The residents of Brooklands may have lost a lot of their mental abilities, but they are deserving of our compassion. Having spent 18 months there with my husband, now deceased, the care and attention given by staff could not be found anywhere else, and I implore you to search your consciences well before approving this hideous scheme.
