Sir,
The Pennar Community Hall is not the most attractive building in Pembroke Dock, but inside the hall has been refurbished with many attractive features.
The hall is managed by a dedicated committee, and they encourage local organisations to avail themselves of the facilities offered, at reasonable rates.
I have been impressed with the concerts given by some of the top names in the acoustic music field, including Hank Wangford, Reg Meuross, John Tams and Pete Morgan, to name a few.
On Friday last (September 9) the hall was host to a wonderful American trio, Chance McCoy and Old Sledge.
They created a wonderful atmosphere, with music and anecdotes from Tennesee and the southern states.
The support act of worthy mention was a first time on stage duo of Pauline Le-Britton (guitar, vocals) and Jayne O'Hara (fiddle vocals). How the audience loved them!
I would appeal to the people of Pembrokeshire to support the Pennar Community Hall, there is so much planned for the future.
Raymond Dony,
Arthur Street,
Pembroke Dock.
