Tenby Playgroup received a financial boost this week thanks to the generosity of the town council and many local businesses. After finding themselves in some financial difficulty due to factors including weekly rental rates, Playgroup leader Mrs. Yvonne Williams wrote to many businesses to see if they could assist in any way. "Out of 165 letters that were sent out, we had 27 replies, so we cannot thank everyone enough who has sponsored the playgroup so generously," said Yvonne, who also expressed special thanks to Andrew O'Haigan, whose son Dylan attends the playgroup, as he had hand collected a large donation at the LNG site in Milford Haven where he works. Also at the presentation, which took place at the town's Leisure Centre, where the playgroup is based, was Mayor, Clr. Trevor Hallett, representing the town council, who recently agreed to donate an annual £100 bursary to the group. Contributions from local businesses and organisations came from: Lions; Lowless and Lowless; Dilks and Thomas Carpentry; Messrs. W. and M. J. Rossiter and Sons Ltd., Funeral Directors Jayne Merrony, Walk-on-Water; Alexander Partnership Accountants; The Normandie; Market traders; Castle Beach Cafe; Bowercross Construction; Taylor Woodrow; FBM; Jazz Sweet Shop; Giltar Hotel; Claire, Harbour Snack Bar; Cresselly Cricket Club; Jimmy Crockford; Rayman Carpentry, Pembroke; Mario and Sara Fecci; Willow Carpentry; Ben Childs; Tenby House Hotel; Gist Holdings; N.
