A plan to introduce some artwork at Tenby's Jubilee Play Park, outlining the rules of the facility, could be presented to local pupils as a project.
The idea had been mooted at a previous meeting of the town council, when Clr. Mike Evans suggested local schools could get involved with designs for a graffiti artist to implement.
However, speaking at Tuesday night's meeting of the council, Clr. Mrs. Sue Lane said that it would probably be more cost effective to get the pupils to do the artwork as well.
"These kind of graffiti artists can be very expensive, I'd rather see a local artist in their own right get on board with the project or even the pupils themselves, as they did a great job with the artwork on the wall up by the gardens overlooking Castle Beach previously," she explained.
Deputy Mayor, Clr. Mrs. Caroline Thomas, agreed and said that she had been very impressed with the art department's work at Greenhill School on a recent visit to the school.
Meanwhile, as fundraising continues towards the play park, Clr. Mrs. Christine Brown said that the Friends of the Jubilee Park had now chosen February 9 next year for a big event in the De Valence, where a 'Casino Royal Ball' would be held with tables and lots of other exciting things.
Tickets would be at £30 or £300 for a table for 10 people, Clr. Mrs. Brown told members.
