Whitland Town Council was delighted to have received funding recently for providing a resource to encourage children’s use of the various play opportunities that exist in and around Whitland.

Part of that funding was used to commission a specially designed map of Whitland – designed to appeal to children, hence the bright colours and simple design.

The main map is in the centre of town right next to the old Natwest building.

There are also others in various places around the town – such as the one on the dragon bus stop near Bryngwenllian.

Not only do these maps highlight the various places children can play in the town, such as Bryngwenllian Play Park, Pocket Park, Parc Dr. Owen, but they also show the many footpaths that are in the area.

Whitland town council would like to thank the artist for all her work on the map.

Pictured are Mayor of Whitland, Clr. Barry Chapman and the town council’s deputy chair Clr. Richard Davies with the map on Whitland main street.
