In 1991, the Rotary Club of Saundersfoot planted several trees in local communities.
The cherry tree outside Jeffreyston Church was planted by Brian Miller, the current president-elect of the club.
A photograph of the tree was a winner in a competition organised by the church, and the club decided to contribute a plaque indicating the original planting.
Here, Rotarian Ian Nicholls, president of the club, unveils the plaque, accompanied by Mrs. Catherine Miller, Rotarians Gwynfor Davies and Brian Miller.
