Plans to expand Tenby's winter festivities have been discussed by members of local organisations.
Clr. Mrs. Christine Brown told fellow town councillors at their meeting on Tuesday night, that members of Tenby Chamber of Trade and Tourism and Tenby and District Lions had held discussions with a view as to what to do for the next festival and beyond.
"After the relative success of last Christmas's Tenby Winter Festival, planning is underway for future ones, with a view to expanding activities and events on the Friday and Saturday of proceedings," she said.
"A small profit was made from the last event and it proved to be a big learning curve for everyone involved. There won't be a carnival as such next time, but we'll be looking to hold a market, lantern parade and other activities again, and we have the ability to plan further ahead, compared to the short space of time we had to plan for the last one," added Clr. Brown,.
She also said that a further meeting would be held at the De Valence, on April 1, at 2 pm, to discuss the festival, and welcomed any other organisation to get involved or ideas from members of the public.
