A number of large developments for Narberth are in the pipeline.
Over the next 12 - 18 months, pre-planning applications for residential developments are expected to be submitted to Pembrokeshire County Council.
"It is my intention to have a series of open discussions with the companies concerned to get an understanding of future infrastructure issues that will affect the town in years to come," said County Councillor Wynne Evans this week. "I have also made a formal application to Welsh Water to upgrade their Valley Road treatment centre sooner rather than later," he continued.
Clr. Evans also said that, while all known future developments fall within the Joint Unitary Development Plan, when this is phased out and replaced by the new Local Development Plan, consideration must be given to formal boundaries of settlement limitations.
