Plans to introduce a gym in Whitland are being objected to by members of the Town Council.
The application to Carmarthenshire County Council (reference: PL/10747) for a change of use of part of building from depot for tree felling business to gym at Wheelabout Park, Spring Gardens, SA34 0HR came before members of Whitland Town Council at their recent meeting.
A discussion was held regarding the planning application. It was noted that a new gym had recently opened on Whitland High Street. Concerns were raised in relation to the security of other businesses in the vicinity of the proposed development, as well as the potential impact on traffic in the area.
It was resolved that Whitland Town Council object to the application. This decision was unanimous.
