The following planning application was discussed by members of Tenby Town Council at their recent meeting...

NP/26/0424/ADV – Ceiling mounted internal digital tv screen in metal framework located within shopfront window bed, at Yorkshire Building Society, Tower House, Church Street, Tenby.

Councillors noted that whilst the Yorkshire Building Society’s content is expected to be sedate, it was noted that, without hour restrictions, other applicants/businesses might display inappropriate or disruptive material, potentially altering the character of Tudor Square.

It was proposed by Cllr Phil Spence, seconded by Cllr Anna Bolton and all agreed that Tenby Town Council approve the installation provided its operation is restricted to specific hours to prevent setting a precedent for 24/7 advertising.

Approval was granted by councillors on the condition that the screen only be operated between 9am and 5pm.
