More lodges will be added at a golf and fishing retreat near Narberth.

Herons Brook Golf and Fishing Retreat’s plan for ten more timber clad holiday lodges was approved on Tuesday by Pembrokeshire County Council’s planning committee, who unanimously voted in favour of the plan.

It includes a new internal access road and a lake with the lodges, which will be for holiday use only, to circle the new lake area.

The two bedroom lodges would be 61sqm in size and 3.5metres high with timber clad walls and grey slate roofs, with external raised deck areas.

They are of a similar style to the six that already exist at the holiday park.

Seven conditions were recommended by planning officers including a time limit on starting the work which must accord with the approved plan, development in accordance with an ecology report.

A planting scheme and external lighting plan is also needed as well as provision of parking facilities before visitors come to stay.
