A councillor’s application for an extension and alterations at his Pembroke Dock home has been approved.

Pembrokeshire County Council’s planning committee approved Joshua Beynon’s application at its meeting on Tuesday (April 5).

At the last planning committee of this municipal year there was unanimous support for the proposal to raise the roof of the terraced house at Milton Terrace to provide first floor accommodation made up of three bedrooms and a shower room.

Reconfiguration downstairs would include an open plan kitchen/diner.

The new roof would have two dormer windows and one Velux window, with a Juliet balcony and three additional windows at the rear of the property.

“The proposed roof alterations and extension would be of an appropriate scale that respects the appearance and proportions of the existing dwelling and its position within the street-scene,” states a planning officer report to committee.

No objections to the plan were received and it was supported by Pembroke Dock Town Council.
