LADIES FELLOWSHIP
The Ladies Fellowship recently met for the first time since their summer break.
Mrs. Maureen Griffiths welcomed everyone to the meeting and following the singing of a hymn, she read a passage of scripture and offered prayer.
Mrs. Griffiths then welcomed the speaker for the evening, the Reverend Roger Hart of Bethany, Pembroke Dock.
Rev. Hart read the latter part of chapter 12 and the beginning of chapter 13 of St. Mark's Gospel which included the story of The Widow's Offering in the Temple. He told the ladies that the poor widow had three options when she stood in front of the temple treasury with her two copper coins. She chose the third which was to give her all. It was a challenging message to everyone.
At the close of the evening, the ladies enjoyed tea and biscuits served by Marina and Peggy.
The Ladies Fellowship will meet again on Wednesday, October 22, at 7.30 pm, when the speaker will be Mrs. Jeanette Williams.
