A very enjoyable evening was spent recently at the Cresselly Arms, Cresswell Quay. The event, a 'Pig Roast' organised by the Carew and Cresswell Quay branch of Cancer Research UK, was very well supported and proved a great success. With donations, the magnificent total of £1,350 was raised for the charity. The committee extend their sincere thanks to the public for their continued support for a very worthy cause. A raffle was also held in conjunction with the event and winners were: Strawberry container - Alison Lewis; Quality Street - Casper Beck; tea-time hamper - Roger Griffiths; bottle of whisky - Casper Beck; Oakwood tickets - Nick James; bottle of wine - Emlyn Hallett; Heatherton voucher - M. Henwood; candles and holder - A. Hooper; bottle of wine - M. Lewis; set of tumblers - Colin Davies; ladies watch - M. Lewis; evening bag - J. Cole; Folly Farm tickets - Mr. Price (kindly returned to committee).
