Penally is a pretty village with some panoramic views over the golf course to Tenby, Caldey Island and Giltar. As well as the post office shop there is a pottery, railway station, 13th century church and a 6th century Celtic cross.

In the grounds of Penally Abbey Hotel is the ruined Saint Deiniol's Chapel, with its holy well. The village is said to be the birthplace of St. Teilo, and his burial place, too, although two other parishes make similar claims.

In the caves at Hoyles, on the outskirts of the village, excavations have uncovered the remains of a variety of extinct animals, as well as relics from the Palaeolithic and Neolithic periods.

Close at hand is Penhoyle Fishing Park, Trefloyne Lane, which has coarse and game fishing in purpose built lakes, surrounded by meadows and young woods.

The well equipped Trefloyne Golf Park is also in the area; an 18-hole course set in mature parkland.
