AN exhibition showing new works from the Rural Association of Photographers, will be on display at the Queen's Hall Gallery, Narberth, from tomorrow (Saturday), running until Saturday, November 8.

The works on display are by Moyrah Gall - 'Westward Trail'; Tina Carr and Annemarie Schone - 'Lost and Found'; Andrea Liggins - 'Conversations with the Landscape'; and Andy Davies - 'By The Sea'.

These five photographers who set up this association a few years ago, produce very different work, all of a very high standard and every one deserving thoughtful consideration about the content as well as the appreciation of quality.

Tina Carr and Annemarie Schone have recently had an exhibition in France and they are well known and respected artists, having had their work chosen for the Eisteddfod two years running.

Moyrah Gall, who works on many projects in the community and with Arts Care, is also busy preparing for a major exhibition that will travel round Wales. Her work captures the light and the spirituality of the landscape.

Andy Davies delights in the textures and colours of the sea shore and found objects and he frames his work using driftwood also found by the sea. The patterns and details of close up studies are a sensual delight.

The Queen's Hall Gallery also has the great honour of being the first gallery to display photographs taken with a mobile phone from the top of Snowdonia and downloaded and printed by Andrea Liggins. Postcards and snapshots that give immediate information of an area have been updated by the use of modern technology.

The old argument that photography is not art, is laid to rest and this exhibition is a shining example of the art form at its best.

The exhibition is open from 10 am until 5 pm, on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and on Tuesday and Wednesday, unless there is a meeting on. Please phone the Queen's Hall on 01834 861212 to check, if travelling on these days.
