LOCAL photographer Mike Cullis has received some good news - he’s a finalist in the Wanderlust International Photography Competition in the wildlife section with an image entitled ‘Polar Dip.’

The competition is open to both amateur and professional photographers and winners of each of the four sections will be given a photographic commission in Costa Rica.

One of the judges, professional wildlife photographer Paul Goldstein, will announce the winners at the Holiday and Travel Show being held in Olympia, London, on February 2.

Mike, a member of Tenby Camera Club, was finalist in 2015 and, although he didn’t win, his image made a centre page spread in the Wanderlust Coffee Book.

Says Mike: “Thousands have entered and I’m happy to be a finalist - don’t hold much hope, but fingers crossed to be a winner!”

Mike, who is retired from his day job, is an associate of the Royal Photographic Society and present and judge photography at camera clubs around Wales.
