A petition against the reintroduction of Dyfed has been presented at the National Assembly for Wales by two Pembrokeshire County Councillors.

Clrs. Peter Stock and Bob Kilmister, both members of Pembrokeshire Alliance, handed the petition to William Powell AM, chair of the Assembly’s petitions committee on Wednesday, February 10.

Over 2,200 people signed the petition, which had been launched on December 2 by Clrs. Stock and Kilmister, along with Clr. John Nutting.

Clr. Peter Stock said: “I was there when Dyfed was formed for the first time, and I saw first hand how it didn’t work. We can’t let it happen again, as it will be at great expense of us all.”

Clr. Bob Kilmister said: “Many people round the world know where Pembrokeshire is, but very few people have a clue about Dyfed. It’s vital that we keep the Pembrokeshire flag flying.”
