Consideration could be given to permanent traffic light controls being introduced on a section of road in the coastal village through Wisemans Bridge.

At a recent meeting of Amroth Community Council, county councillor for the ward, Cllr Alec Cormack told members, that he has contacted Pembrokeshire County Council’s Highways about requests made by the Community Council about the possibility of having permanent traffic lights on the narrow section of road above Wisemans Bridge Inn.

Cllr Cormack said: “Because this would be a change, and a considerable expense there is concern to make sure that there is majority support for such a measure in advance. I have suggested that either the Community Council, or myself as County Councillor could undertake a resident survey to ascertain this.”

Cllr Baron queried using S106 money to fund the traffic lights. It was also suggested that Taf Valley Buses and local businesses/residents were asked for their opinions on installing lights.
