My husband and I spent six weeks recently travelling around the UK and Europe. Initially we had no intention of visiting Wales, but when my son decided to compete in the Wales Ironman we changed our itinerary and travelled to Tenby (staying in Pembroke) so we could attend this event.

We would like to say that it is one of the best decisions we made. The people of Tenby and Pembroke were without doubt the most friendly and helpful we encountered throughout our travels.

Since our return home, many people have asked what was the best part of our trip and, while we saw many fantastic things, it was the people of Wales that really captured our hearts. We loved our stay in a house in a beautiful setting across from a castle and Wales will definitely be a place we return to in the future.

We became avid Welsh rugby supporters in their World Cup games and were very disappointed after their loss to Australia. To the people of Tenby and Pembroke, we say thank you!
