A pensioner was flown to hospital by helicopter on Monday after an accident in Kilgetty.
The accident occurred at 1.08 pm and involved a coach and an 85-year-old woman.
Inspector Tim Hoad, of Tenby Police Station, said afterwards: "Officers attended the scene and established that the lady was at the bus stop opposite the Kilgetty Community Centre when she had difficulty stepping up into the coach from the bus stop.
"As a result, the coach driver requested that the elderly lady step back onto the verge and she would pull the coach closer into the kerb.
"As the elderly lady stepped away from the coach, the coach driver pulled slowly forward.
"However, unknown to the driver, the elderly woman had slipped off the verge and the front wheel of the coach had driven over the woman's arm."
Due to the age of the woman and the nature of the accident, a number of emergency vehicles, including firefighters from Tenby, police, a land ambulance and the Dyfed Powys Police force helicopter, which was in the area, attended the scene.
The casualty remained trapped under the coach for approximately 30 minutes until she was released by the fire brigade using hydraulic cutting equipment.
The casualty was taken to Withybush Hospital by helicopter where she was treated for her injuries and
